Bunched Up Orthotics In Your Shoe?

Bunched Up Orthotics In Your Shoe?

Sometimes orthotics and semi-custom insoles need to be trimmed to fit your shoe.

It’s a common misconception that a custom orthotic will fit all shoes and this ‘bunched’ orthotic question is one of the most common questions we get. You’re not alone.

Custom orthotics are actually casted to mirror the shape, arch, etc of your foot…not your shoe.

Sometimes, women especially, will be wearing shoes that have a slightly narrower removable insole than their foot width.

If you’re wearing tennis shoes, loafers or ballet flats, there’s a good chance that you can look right down at your own feet in your shoes right now and tell that your foot is wider than the shoe’s insole.

Amanda will show you how you can trim your own orthotics yourself and what to be aware of. There are definitely some things to watch out for.

Remember, Lexington Podiatry stands behind their orthotics!

Lexington Podiatry guarantees that if you are not satisfied with the comfort of your custom orthotics, within the three month trial period (office visit charge still applies per contract with insurance). If you’re thinking about conservative treatment options, this is the stress free way to go.
