Dr. Michelle Hurless,
DPM
Dr. Hurless comes from a small town in northwest Ohio, where she was raised on a horse ranch. She grew up with 3 older brothers and spent her childhood outdoors with them. She was constantly putting casts and bandages on her toys growing up, so becoming a podiatrist was a perfect fit for a her. Patients find it easy to relate to Dr. Hurless’ down to earth personality and warm smile.
Dr. Hurless recently finished her residency training outside of Dallas, Texas and was thrilled to join Lexington Podiatry, which allowed her to move closer to her big family.
During her residency training, Dr. Hurless was trained to perform just about any foot and ankle surgical procedure, ranging from bunion and hammertoe correction, to foot and ankle trauma. She firmly believes in exhausting conservative care treatment options, but if surgery is warranted she can provide you with the care you need. She has extensive training in both conservative and surgical treatment of pediatric, adolescent and adult flatfoot deformity. In fact, this is one of her favorite things to treat!
Dr. Hurless believes that every patient is unique and her attention to detail helps to create a customized and well-rounded plan of care to alleviate your pain. She has a caring and giving spirit and gets a great deal of joy when she is able to help patients get back to the things they love to do.

Dr. Hurless has a passion for mission work. As a child, she idolized mother Teresa, which is what sparked her love for helping the less fortunate. This was a driving force in Dr. Hurless becoming a physician. She traveled to Nicaragua in podiatry school and to Mexico during residency to provide care to those who are unable to obtain foot and ankle care otherwise.
She has a love for all furry things, enjoys woodworking and home projects in her free time, is a wannabe Yogi and enjoys outings with her Labrador, Gryff. Dr. Hurless and her husband recently welcomed their first baby, J.T. so she has her hands and her heart very full.
