We see a great deal of plantar fasciitis in our practice. If you have failed normal conservative care measures, the doctor may determine that you are a candidate for a plantar fasciotomy.

About the Procedure

This surgery consists of releasing the insertion or attachment of the plantar fascia to relieve pain. There is a very small incision, which will heal in about 2 weeks. You can expect to be in a boot for about 6 weeks, and may walk in the boot for this time. This surgery has minimal down time and a high rate of success with alleviating pain.
