Did you know podiatrists are qualified to perform surgery for broken bones? Dr. Michelle Hurless had extensive training in traumatic foot and ankle surgery during her residency and is qualified to treat anything from a toe fracture to an ankle fracture.
About the Procedure
We see broken bones quite frequently, and there are times when these broken bones need put back together. This surgery can vary widely, but most often consists of putting pins, screws or plates along the broken bones to place them in proper alignment. Without treatment, it can lead to early arthritis and difficulty walking. If you have had an injury recently, it is very important to see us and have an x-ray, to make sure your bones don’t need fixed!
